Captain Larry has been fishing the waters surrounding the Delmarva Peninsula for more than 55 years perfecting his skills putting fish on the dock.  He earned his USCG Captains License in 1987 and has been running a well-known charter business out of Ocean City, Maryland for over 30 years.  Captain Larry’s passion for catching fish has made ”Always Late” a much sought after charter boat as he earned the reputation for putting his charters on the fish.  He is a proven tournament winner often backing “Always Late” to the scales for the win in many of the area’s top tournaments to include the Ocean City Shark Tournament, OC Tuna Tournament, and the White Marlin Open to name a few!  Now running “Always Late Too” with his son, Captain Michael Bartemy, he is passing down his many years of experience and knowledge.  Captain Larry’s top priority is to ensure the safety of his passengers while giving them a world-class fishing experience that will create memories to last a lifetime.

Captain Michael Bartemy

Captain Mike first caught the offshore fishing bug in 1998 fishing out of Ocean City, MD, Outer Banks, NC, and Wells Harbor, Maine. Those early fishing trips sparked his interest in someday becoming a charter boat captain.  He first earned his 50 Ton Inland and Near Coastal USCG Master’s License in 2001 and upgraded to a 100 Ton Inshore in 2016.  Captain Mike also has a Maryland Chesapeake Bay Guides License.  In 2020, he and his wife, Tracie, decided to upgrade from their 38’ Rampage Express to a 48’ Ocean Super Sport which they renamed “Always Late Too”, and asked his father, Captain Larry Richardson, to join him in building a charter business that would give Captain Mike the opportunity to work side by side with a true fishing legend, while learning what it takes to be successful on the offshore fishing grounds.
